| I feel like it is not often I read a BL manga where the two main characters are already together. This manga does a great job showing them as an established couple still navigating some of the new couple (and new living mate) quirks which I find very relatable as 20-something living with my boyfriend. The story also has a flashback section that shows how the two met, which I think is a great format: show the couple being cute and together and then show the romance drama of how they got together. The characters have well written personality that makes each of them distinct without being too tropey. The dog boyfriend, Kenatrou-san, is my favorite. I enjoy his stoic apperance that gets broken by having a tell tale tail wag, plus he looks really good in that full suit. Artistically, the panels are all great! Backgrounds are solid and all the different humans and animals are drawn well. This manga has a really nice beastman style that reminds me a lot of American furries which is a major plus. I honestly looked so forward to this one getting an English physical release that I pre-ordered it at my bookstore. Do not sleep on this one! |
